Idk why I feel like this Donghua is better than its manhua,
I read it arround 50+ chapter but dropped it earlier seems like I should restart reading it🙂.

It often is so. Take a look at Gods tomb. Novel is fucking pathetic, yet animation fixed all the problems.

Gods tomb was so bad that author kept apologising to readers and begged to stick a bit more. But, that continued for 50 chapters until it finally reached the point hyped by author... just to stay the same crap as it was. Except, MC was not continually tortured by everyone like the most pathetic existence, he just developed different points of horrible MC

Is ‘gods tomb’ a good donghua? What is its title?

It was on not long ago. Season 1 was 16 episodes (Shen Mu)

Then you can also have opposite. Jade dynasty (Zhu Xian) novel is a masterpiece, animation on the other hand removes all that gore that made the story connected and awesome while replacing it with Harry Potter like feel. I stopped watching it, because I couldn't stand it being ruined anymore.

Another animation that completely ruined good novel was Jian Xian Zai Ci which is hillarious pg-18+ sleazebag/pervert/cheapskate. Animation made it like pg-3 and all the good things about novel were gone.

You can also have unfortunate animations. Jiandao Di Yi Xian is one of my 3 favourite novels and animation was not only well done, but real 1:1 with the novel and had quality animation. Only problem is they for some reason decided only animating 20 episodes (short) for season 1 and beginning of the novel is extremely slow going. The point where story almost skyrockets would be episode... go figure... 21. As such it was criticised as boring as hell (which beginning really is) and hell will probably freeze over before they get funds for 2nd season

Oh I watched Jade Dynasty, I guess since I only watch the donghua and did not read the novel, I thought it was good but at some I disliked MCs obsession with that girl he grew up with. 😅 oh ‘tombs of the gods’ I just watched it, and it was actually good. I saw some of your comments saying it’s an improvement from novel.

First episode was definitely longer than this but it seems good so far.

Is it me or this donghua has a lot of similarity to: Dupo Cangqiong or the English name:Battle Through The Heavens

2:he have a special fire xiao yan
3:he also have a sword like xiao yan
and 4:he could also refine pills

Even in the beginning of BTTH there are no similarities. Maybe the MC reminds you of Xiao Yan? Even though there are no similarities between them either. Or it gives you the same feeling when you watch BTTH
